Košice will host the prestigious summer school of the European Association of Social Psychology

The Institute of Social Sciences of the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences, Slovak Academy of Sciences, the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, in cooperation with the University of Groningen, Netherlands, will host the prestigious summer school of the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) for doctoral students in the field of social psychology.

ReSPS 2024: Book of Abstracts Published

This Book of Abstracts compiles the contributions presented at the Research in Social and Psychological Sciences Conference, the first joint conference of the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences, held in Smolenice on April 9, 2024. The publication was edited by the conference's Scientific Committee: Lucia Mýtna Kureková, Branislav Šprocha, and Ivana Studená – senior researchers at the Institute for Forecasting CSPS SAS.

A successful first edition of the Research for Social and Psychological Sciences conference

On 9 April 2024, the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (CSPS SAS) organised the first edition of the Research for Social and Psychological Sciences (ReSPS) conference. The event was held at the congress centre of the SAS in Smolenice. The motivation for organizing a scientific conference was the need to create space for researchers of the individual institutes of the Centre to present their work and to build a scholarly reference platform for the results of CSPS research in the professional field.

The Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences SAS is organising a scientific conference Research for Social Psychological Sciences (ReSPS), which will take place in Smolenice (Slovakia) on Tuesday April 9, 2024.

Carbon neutral Slovakia by 2050


Two new studies were published on the website of the CSPS SAS Institute for Forecasting, the authors of which are researchers Dušana Dokupilová and Martina Repíková. 

The aim of the studies was to propose possible settings of national policies, but also the inevitable change in the behavior of the population, which would lead to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The authors offer a scenario of measures by which Slovakia would become a carbon-neutral country by 2050.
